Headaches are a pain in any area of the head. Headaches can occur on one or both sides of the head, be localized to a specific point, radiate from a point along the length of the head, or have a vice-like quality. Headaches can present as a sharp pain, a throbbing sensation, or a dull ache. Headaches can develop gradually or suddenly and last from less than an hour to several days.
